Emily has toured and performed with The Darkness, Bryan Ferry and Kim Wilde, among many other high-profile artists. We speak to Emily about this online drum portal, her flexible approach to the kit, and how the ongoing lockdown has resulted in a shift towards an online model for professional music creation.

MusicTech: How did your musical journey begin?

Emily Dolan Davies: It started in school, I went to a regular secondary school in North London. But I’d been brought up in a musical household and I had always really loved music. Though, whenever I tried to play instruments, they didn’t make any sense to me theoretically. Chords and notes eluded me.
