    • Perfect mid-way point between classic and practical fast Ford – all the cool factor of owning a retro Blue Oval but no fear of modifying or driving it hard, and contemporary enough to live with on daily basis

    • Prices are on the up – XRs aren’t far behind RSs in value, and the XR2i’s rarity factor makes it a great investment.

    • Pure, raw fun – minimal electrical items and zero computer interference, in a featherweight chassis with fantastic handling. There’s little to go wrong and loads to love.

    WHY YOU DON’T…

    • Rust - Mk3 Fiestas rot for fun, and a seriously corroded XR2i is fit for scrap.

    • Rattles - the CVH engine wasn’t great when new, and with three decades under its belt it could be knocking and smoking.

    • Reputation – you might stillgeneration. Even now, you could find an XR2i with horrific modifications.
