Commentary: Instead of more cop shows, what if networks greenlit shows that tried to explore police abolition?
Last month, Craig Gore was hired as a co-executive producer on a forthcoming "Law & Order" spinoff starring Christopher Meloni, only to be fired on Tuesday after posting a photo of himself holding what appears to be a large firearm with the caption "curfew." In another post he threatened to "light up" looters.
According to Gore's LinkedIn page, he is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and taught writing classes for Columbia's semester in L.A. program from 2000-2017. He was previously a co-executive producer on "Chicago P.D.," which comes from executive producer Dick Wolf, as does the "Law & Order" franchise.
In statement issued hours after Gore's social media posts were shared online, Wolf said: "I will not tolerate this conduct, especially during our hour of national grief. I am terminating Craig
