You will probably feel a drive to achieve and to excel now that Mars has settled into its home sign of Aries for an unusually long stay. Mars entered Aries on June 27 and will remain there until January 6, 2021. Mars represents, energy, sexuality, drive, and courage, so as this planet moves through your chart it prods you to take the initiative, attack problems, and turn desires into actions. With Mars here, you can expect to see a great deal of activity in the area of your life associated with this sign. You may also occasionally feel a little edgy or nervous, but not so intensely that you should worry about it.
However, Mars starts a long retrograde period next month that will last from September 9 to November 13. This month will thus be a poor time to initiate overly aggressive actions on any front, as once next month’s retrograde period begins your original intention will deviate from its course, as you soon find yourself working at cross purposes with other people. Ultimately, in other words, grand ambitions launched this month are likely to fail once the retrograde begins.
