When you’re training hard, it’s important to make sure, researchers monitored a group of 62 exercising women who had infrequent periods. Half of them increased their daily calories by 300-400, and the other half maintained their normal diet. After 12 months, the women who increased their calorie intake were twice as likely to have their periods compared with those who didn’t change their diet. Make sure you support your training with adequate nutrition.
