‘LEARNING HOW TO FUEL LIKE A PRO’

Since my first bulletin in early April, what to say? – we’re still in lockdown, still waiting. Is that about to change? Although a cloud of uncertainty still hangs over the 2020 race season, the possibility of a restart to racing is gradually being revived. Will there be enough time left to run a meaningful season? If so, how will it work? These are all questions that only time will answer. For now, we carry on waiting.

My training has eased back slightly – I’ve been doing 16-18 hours per week but still keeping in the quality. OK, I admit it, I have cracked and given in to the temptations of Strava – searching out local segments and carrying out targeted ‘raids’ on attainable KOMs. Without any racing on the cards, it’s arguably the best entertainment available!

Of course, a lot of racing has now moved over onto Zwift, and I’ve been doing
