MITSUBISHI PAJERO FROM $54,490

Mitsubishi’s Pajero is old enough to qualify for the pension, but it’s a proven, reliable package that’s well suited to towing and off-road adventuring. It’s also pretty good value given its size, specification and all-round capability, especially at discount drive away prices that start at $50,490 for the base model GLX.

HOW MUCH?

The NT Pajero 3.2-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel range opens with the five-speed auto, seven-seat GLX for $54,490. The seven-seat auto GLS is $59,990.

These manufacturer’s list prices are pretty meaningless. Mitsubishi regularly advertises drive-away discount deals on the Pajero to keep the old banger moving through the showrooms. GLX auto was recently offered, for example, at $50,490 driveaway, for the latest deals.
