HELLO! Fashion Monthly

SMALL STEPS, BIG IMPACT

DESIGNERS, REMIX

For Designers, Remix, working with sustainable materials is part of their everyday life. It was founded in 2002 by Charlotte Eskildsen, creative director and head of design, with the intention of making fashion from leftovers. The first collection was a charity project with the Red Cross where they upcycled designer clothes. Now the Copenhagen-based brand will only work with sustainable fabrics and strive to educate the customer through speeches, discussion groups, notes on labels, social media and their involvement with Global Fashion Agenda. We speak to Charlotte about her passion for sustainability.

How long have you been sustainably minded?

We launched the brand in 2002, when we were only upcycling. So we were born sustainable. We actually started off as a charity project with the Red Cross, where we upcycled some of their vintage pieces.
