ROOTED IN HISTORY

Turnips are sometimes seen as a second class veg; not up there with asparagus and artichokes. Yet when you tear open the packet to sow your turnip seeds, you might just reflect that this humble root veg may well have been in cultivation in some form for more than 3500 years, either as food for us or our animals. Yes, the turnip has certainly earned its place on our veg patches and continues to do so.
