esidents joined forces to help in the after-math of the most destructive hurricane to make landfall in Collier County, and that strong bond from Bonita Springs to Marco Island emergency-relief fund in mid-March to create a safety net for those caught in the web of issues spurred by the pandemic, such as unemployment, hunger, isolated seniors, lost educational opportunities, and at-risk children. “We really don’t know what’s coming down the pike,” says Eileen Connolly-Keesler, president and CEO of the foundation. “We want to be prepared for whatever it is we need. That’s what we do.”
