Covid-19, lockdown and your UIF benefits

THE lockdown has brought business to a grinding halt – and for many employees no work means no pay. Luckily, the government has thrown them a much-needed lifeline in the form of a temporary employee and employer relief scheme called C19 TERS.

There are also other benefits that can be claimed from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) – but you can’t claim from C19 TERS and UIF simultaneously. Here’s how it works.

1 C19 TERS
