PEAR DELIGHT

With many delicious varieties to choose from, pears bring a subtle, sweet flavour, juiciness and unique texture to the table. Read on for all the pear recipes you’ll need this autumn, with the humble fruit adding a burst of flavour to goat’s cheese canapés, pork and fennel sausages and a decadent chocolate tart. Pear, prosciutto, rocket & goat’s cheese canapés

Ready in 15 minutes | Makes 16 | Serves 6 | GF

30-50g mild, soft goat’s cheese (chèvre)
1 large, just-ripe pear, peel on, cored, sliced into 16 thin wedges 2 handfuls rocket or watercress leaves 8 very thin slices prosciutto (about 100g), cut in half lengthways Reduced balsamic (balsamic reduction), for drizzling

Spread a little goat’s cheese on each slice of pear and lie a bit of rocket or watercress on top. Wrap a piece of prosciutto around each
