Editor’s Note

We are thrilled to once again work with Michael Rooks, Wieland Family Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the High Museum of Art, who has served as juror for this issue. Rooks reviewed the work of more than eight hundred artists residing in the southern United States. His selections cover a range of aesthetic territories and highlight artists from diverse backgrounds. Please be sure to give his insightful essay a read.
