An Eighteen Year Build… Worth the Wait

IT would take quite a while, but J.R. finally got his Oval. He found this ’57 on eBay in 1998, and drove 18 hours to Clear Lake, California to pick it up. In reasonable condition, with three original fenders, the factory hood and decklid, and minimal body damage, this was a proper starting point for what would become a rather lengthy restoration process.
