    HOW DO BRAKE PADS WORK?

    During brake application the pads, mounted in and pushed by the pistons of the brake caliper, are clamped on to the brake disc. The resulting friction as the rotating disc passes through the pads slows the motorcycle by converting kinetic energy to heat.
