With the purchase of a greenhouse a few years ago I have been growing tomatoes and cucumbers successfully, but have encountered continual issues with melons. I have been growing Mr Fothergill’s ‘Emir F1’ and have grown two plants from seed in 15in clay pots each year. I didn’t manage to produce a single melon the first year, in the second managed one
