FEAR FACTOR

Behind every successful man is a stree. Debutant filmmaker, Amar Kaushik, will wholeheartedly agree to that. Last year, his horror-comedy, Stree, enticed both the critics and the masses and sashayed into the 100-crore club. The Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor starrer also won Amar the Filmfare trophy for Best Debut Director. The young man from Arunachal Pradesh has indeed come a long way.

Amar however believes in staying rooted. Life, he claims, is at home. I buy vegetables and cook food too,” he smiles. The best part of being successful he says is that everyone now knows him in the industry. "I get an opportunity to talk to filmmakers like Sriram Raghavan who I’ve always admired. When I’d watched his (2004), I was blown away. Today, when I sit on the same stage with him, it gives me a kick.”
