It’s fortunate that Dilip Kumar’s masterpieces have been preserved and are available on various mediums. The new generation must watch his films, which can teach more than acting institutes. No one can teach better romance than his Salim in Mughal-E-Azam, no one can take on the bourgeoise than his Shankar in Naya Daur and no one can portray doomed love better than his Devdas. I wonder whether Indian cinema will ever be blessed with a footprint as gigantic as his.
