PALM OIL - IN SEARCH OF A sustainable solution

Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil that comes from the fruit of oil palm trees originating in West Africa but is now cultivated commercially in Latin America, and particularly Malaysia and Indonesia (more than 82% of the world’s palm oil is produced in these two countries). The trees are used to produce two two types of oil: crude palm is extracted from the fleshy fruit and palm kernel oil comes from crushing the kernel or stone in the middle of the fruit.
