SUMMER JOBS

Rock concerts, beach parties, state fairs, rodeos and baseball games quickly deplete any extra summer hours we often have beyond work and family. There’s no reason to cancel your weekend at the Burning Man or Lollapalooza festivals, but by spending a few extra hours in the summer preparing for cool-season predator pursuits you can jump into the fur fray immediately. Although Benjamin Franklin would be in shock if he experienced the Burning Man Festival, he did have some sage advice that crosses over into today’s world: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Enjoy that state fair fried heart attack, but listen to Ben to put yourself on the road to a successful fur season.

RIFLE READY

Summer may seem a tad early to hit the range for the last zero of your rifle, but look into that crystal ball and plan accordingly.
