Conned up with quads

AS ANYONE that has ever earned a cracker from driving a truck knows the Lamattina carrot growers have had some of the nicest looking truck and trailer combinations in Australia. They’ved moved with the industry, from single trailer semis to B-doubles, then quickly upsizing to the B-triple. Now they’ve come up with the whole B-quad thing and the whole concept looks like multiplying.

While the Lamattinas are unique in the fact that they are a complete outfit, meaning they own all of their equipment, not outsourced or reliant on subcontractors towing their three and four trailer combinations, they at least have full control and the routes chosen.

So it is with great disappointment that yet another player as entered the trucking May 2019, page 14). The thing is, it’s false economics where the trucking industry is concerned and has little if any benefit for the trucking industry as a whole.
