Enigmatic Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee has honoured his musical influences with , an album of covers originating from indie rock bands around the late 1980s and early ’90s. Most were never released as singles and Lee adds to their obscure status by giving them a softer makeover. His acoustic take of Sonic Youth’s ‘Sugar Kane’ is almost unrecognisable from the original, and he transforms Dinosaur Jr’s ‘Get Me’ to a poignant folk-styled song.
