The used vehicle market has witnessed a growth of 40-50 per cent over the last year. Even though the supply has been coming mainly from metro markets, there has been a boost in demand from Tier-II and Tier-III cities as well. With an estimated value of Rs 1 lakh crore in 2018-2019, the used car market business accounts for more than half of what is done in the new car space. The Indian used car market as a whole is expected to register over 10 per cent CAGR in the period 2019-2024.
