Coin Superstitions on Steroids

Here we go again. The May ‘Around the World’ column in World Coin News reported the third recent incident in China of someone throwing coins near the engines of an airplane. Each of these incidents were blamed on superstitious beliefs.

Well, it turns out there was a second incident in 2017 in which someone threw coins dangerously close to the engines, causing the flight to be delayed. At least the age of the participants is
