Welcome to the Darkside.

CNBC, CNN, Forbes, and even your local FOX Newscasters are talking about it. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, chances are you’ve at least heard the term cryptocurrency, also known as just crypto, in an everyday conversation. The question is, What is it, and why should you care?

Many economists believe cryptocurrencies to be the next stage in the evolution of money, one in which we experience our cash as a digital currency. As we hurtle towards the age of automated connections, we will require lower latency and higher forms of transparent connectivity with currencies and assets to conquer an Open-Source Future; one increasingly concerned with privacy and security. Bitcoin (BTC), the top cryptocurrency on the market, is leading the way.

Predictions on the value of Bitcoin hitting a value of $75K by the end of 2021, $150K by 2025; or even $1 million by the year 2035(1) are all completely realistic and possible according to some of the world’s economists, and market speculators. Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency that will go through the roof and to the moon. Other cryptocurrencies will also rise in relevance and value beyond anyone’s imagination. Still, twice as many will fail and bankrupt many thousands of people.

Although digital currencies are the money of the future (think of how many of your favorite vendors and brands now have a coin or token for digital rebates and rewards as we speak), the truth is there is so much opportunity for people to get swindled and scammed that venturing into the crypto-space without the right information can be quite nerve-racking and just plain ol’ financially irresponsible, to say the least.

Investing in the crypto-space without the proper knowledge of what to look for is like handing over your debit card and pin with a sticky note that says, help yourself. I’d rather you give the money to your favorite charity. At least then you’d help some people and possibly get a tax write-off.

There will be thousands of newly made cryptrillionaires once this thing takes off. Rags to riches stories will seem to pop up overnight. With the right insight, you CAN be one of them.

There will be just as many I-bet-the-house-and-lost-it-all stories to go round. Uninformed people will dump collective billions into the space of scam coins only to have that wealth disappear almost instantly. Don’t be one of those guys. Do your homework. You are reading this book, so you’re off to a good start. Failing to get the information you need to succeed in the crypto-space is like dying of starvation while locked in a pantry full of food.

It is essential to become familiar with as many of the main terminologies as possible (BTC, crypto, etc.), especially if you plan on investing in this space. I will do my best to reiterate all the important catch-words, so if I continuously repeat myself in this book, it is for a good reason. Repetition is the mother of mastery.

The truth is over 60% of cryptocurrencies that exist today are junk coins. They exist with no real technology behind them and were created with the sole purpose of fleecing everyday people of their money.

How can you tell what is a junk coin? The answer is that unless you are a computer scientist who has proficiency in reading and writing computer code or has first-hand knowledge, there is no exact way of knowing. However, there are robust and reliable indicators. This book will teach you how to read indicators and spot the scams waiting everywhere like booby-traps. Don’t be the booby that gets trapped! Read this book twice, even three times if you have to.

I was compelled to write this book mainly because one’s early investment in cryptocurrency represents a shift of generational wealth that is a once in a million, twice in a trillion opportunity. I want to see as many people take advantage of it as possible. If misery loves company, then success seeks companionship.

Over the years, so many friends have prompted me to teach them how to get involved in investing in digital assets. They have the sense, as you do, that what’s looming on the horizon is monumental but don’t have the knowledge and resources to feel confident navigating the crypto market. Frankly, I’m tired of big banks and corporations historically getting all the money and keeping the little guy down. And believe me, the banks and governments are working with cryptocurrencies towards shifting the distribution of generational wealth. (2)

Shifting the balance of economic power so that it is more balanced means a change in the faces that shape our collective future and ensures the ‘little guy’ has a place in that future. I believe securing your home in the future comes down to paying close attention today.

I’d be remiss in sharing tools for a place in the future without, however, sharing a reminder that your health is your real wealth. At the time of this writing, approximately 61 million reported Coronavirus cases in the entire world (but who has an accurate number, right?), with 38.7 million of those people having recovered. At the same time, sadly, 1.42 million succumbed to their illness. According to CNN, around 400,000 people could die of Covid-19 by 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic’s impact. (3)

I say that to say none of this stuff amounts to anything if you don’t have your health and well being. The nature and state of your physical, emotional, and spiritual health is worth more than any form of currency ever! The man with no legs will give all the Gold in the world if he could just walk to the store once more.

Even with this reminder, I feel over the coming years, there will be many people who will sacrifice their personal happiness for a chance to become a cryptrillionaire. The number of sleepless nights, failed relationships, neglect of families, and stress-related health complications will reach record highs. In contrast, the morality of some will reach record lows. Life, my friend, is about balance.

This book is my offering to those friends sharing in the path to progress, hopefully helping us become friends in future wealth. It’s my way of giving forward.
