THE Outdoor Edge
I have been a long-time user of the great array of Outdoor Edge knives and butchery equipment coming out of Denver, Colorado in the United States. Designed by folks who hunt themselves, the range of knives, shears, saws, sharpening tools and more is testament to products that are required to work while being extremely affordable in the process.
For me, I do like a hand-made custom knife but shelling out $150 and upwards for a designer blade when it can easily become replaced always has me going back to what are termed ‘trade blades’ - quality knifeware made to be used by butchers and meat process workers with quality steel blades and rubber or plastic handles. Such knives meet the stringent requirements of food preparation standards and are easy to clean and sanitise. Most of the knives in the Outdoor Edge range possess attributes of the ‘trade blade’ design and function.
