Steve and Rebecca Allan seem to have this custom car thing pretty well sorted. First up for the Canterbury-based couple came a Chev Sedan delivery, that, as you’d expect because they run a hot rod shop, was made to look better than new. Soon, however, they wanted something with more power, and they found exactly that in a blown ’32 Ford coupe. Things really couldn’t get much better from there — or so they thought, until their first child was born. We all know that three into two (seats) don’t go, and the coupe simply didn’t have enough room.
