The study found specific antipsychotic medication also increased GDM risk. “These findings suggest women with psychotic disorders and those on specific antipsychotic treatment could be considered for earlier screening for GDM in pregnancy,” Prof. Galbally said. The data was published by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
