Wildlife Ranching published a report in issue 4 2018 entitled ‘Unified meat industry’.

“Playing fields should be levelled if the game industry wants to enter the commercial meat market.”

In the article, Dr Maretha van der Merwe said that our industry has pointed out time and again that a regulated game-meat industry can make a massive contribution towards food security in Africa: “We are on the cusp of being able to make this a reality as the promulgation of the Game-Regulations by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) appears imminent.”
