One trip 6 parks
It was almost the end of winter and therefore time for the Kleinhans’s caravan to get back on the road. Although they had previously stayed at ATKV Klein-Kariba for five days, Theo and Esther are not what they call “staying tourists”. No, they prefer to travel and get itchy feet when in one place for too long.
They’ve already hitched their caravan and hit the road more than 60 times over the past years.
Currently, they’re towing a Sprite Sprint with a Nissan X-Trail. Theo says it’s a comfortable combination with which they’ve been all over South Africa and Namibia.
Head to Mokala
For our next adventure, we decide on a circular route in the middle of South Africa where we intend to visit six national parks. We would like to spend three nights each in the Mokala, Karoo, Camdeboo, Addo, Mountain Zebra and Golden Gate national parks.
Due to the long distances and our camping preferences, we decide to stay over in Bloemfontein on the first night, and to visit Mokala from outside the park. We also look for for a halfway point between Mountain Zebra and Golden
