PERFORMANCE HOSES AND FITTINGS

In any vehicle ranging from a road-sweeper to a Formula One car, vital fluids such as oil, water, fuel and brake fluid need to be transferred from one component to another. But the hoses used to pass these fluids and the fittings which keep the hoses in place can have limiting effects on the vehicle’s performance.

When we start asking the engine to pump more oil at a higher pressure, shift more fuel more quickly, and generally withstand all the strains and stresses which are much greater than those experienced in a standard car, the limits of the original rubber hoses and clamps can be easily exceeded. That’s where performance braided hoses and specialist fittings come in. Far from being a styling exercise, braided hoses offer increased reliability and will ensure those vital fluids are transferred around in the way they should be, even in the harshest motorsport environment.
