Contaminated Stag rear brakes

Whilst the Stag was on the hoist waiting for the replacement top bearings during the caster angle change process detailed last issue, the spare time was utilised by checking the underside items including differential oil level, greasing the driveshaft splines, inspecting the exhaust and other mountings. During the visual inspection I noticed what looked like dampness on the lefthand rear brake backplate, so further investigation was required.
After removing the road wheel, the two brake drum retaining screws were undone and the brake drum slid off – one advantage of working on a recently restored car is that there are no issues with seized
