The carpets in your average Mini have a pretty hard time. It takes a fastidious approach to protect them from everything the environment throws at them and even if you can reduce the impact of dirty shoes with over mats and regular cleaning, UV radiation will do its best to fade them and break them down, and let’s not start on the Mini’s ability to take on water...

If you’re well prepared and depending on the model - later cars with more complex seats will take a little more time to strip down - you should be able to fit a complete new carpet set in less than a day. And it need not break the bank. Standard ‘flat’
