Welcome back to my long-running column on the tapping technique. We’ve covered pretty much every aspect of this technique in this series, and we’re now at the stage where we can begin combining it with other playing styles. In the previous instalment, we combined tapping with artificial harmonics and slap bass to create some interesting but challenging parts that were very much in the style of virtuoso players such as Michael Manring and Victor Wooten.
