EMILIA CLARKE GETS CANDID ON GOT’S INFAMOUS NUDE SCENES

IF you’ve watched the series you’ll know that the show was never afraid to throw in some nude scenes. In fact, the first few series saw an excessive has finally opened up about her part in that, and how she felt coerced into a ‘f***-tonne of nudity’ during her early days on the series. “I took the job and then they sent me the scripts and I was reading them, and I was like, ‘Oh, there’s the catch’!” says, adding that she started filming for the series when she was just 23 years old. “But I’d come fresh from drama school and I approached it as a job, if it’s in the script then it’s clearly needed, this is what this is and I’m going to make sense of it. Everything’s going to be cool.” The actress does admit that these early nude scenes helped shape her into a stronger performer and businesswoman, saying, “I’m a lot more savvy now with what I’m comfortable with, and what I am okay with doing. I’ve had fights onset before where I’m like, ‘No, the sheet stays up,’ and they’re like, ‘You don’t want to disappoint your fans.’ And I’m like, ‘F*** you’.” But she adds that things often got so bad that she would go and cry in the bathroom before shooting her nude scenes. She would tell herself, “Whatever I’m feeling is wrong, I’m going to cry in the bathroom and then I’m going to come back and we’re going to do the scene and it’s going to be completely fine.”
