New leaf

The Leaf is the first car to feature bi-directional charging. What does that mean in practice? Bi-directional charging gives customers the chance to use their cars as mobile storage batteries. For example, if you have solar panels at home, you can charge up your car with them during the day, then at night discharge the stored energy back to your house to power your heating, lights and so on. Leaf has offered this worldwide since 2013.
