New ways with PIZZA

➾ While we have changed up the bases in these versions, using alternatives to the usual pizza dough, the rules around a really hot oven for a crispy bottom still generally apply. A baking stone will further help with the crust.

➾ Less is often more when it comes to the toppings – while it can be tempting to overload with a variety of delicious ingredients, this can lead to a mixed result in terms of cooking and taste.

➾ Although our selection uses fresh ingredients, pizza can be a great way to make use of leftover cooked meats and veges.

➾ Traditionally pizza has a rich tomato sauce, but it’s not essential, it can easily be swapped for something more exotic. Try pesto, tapenade, barbecue sauce, or simply good quality extra virgin olive oil.

➾ While you can get experimental with the cheese – we’ve included versions with ricotta, smoked cheddar and gorgonzola – it’s worth keeping mozzarella in the mix for that satisfying pizza ‘stretch’.
