Driving off into the sunset is all well and good, but how would your favourite movie couple actually fare after ‘The End’. Would they carry on living a romantic ideal, or would they have parted company before the post-credits sting? To find out, Total Film has enlisted the help of behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings (johemmings.co.uk) and Paula Hall, Clinical Director of The Laurel Centre (thelaurelcentre.co.uk), to give their expert opinion on these couples’ chances of survival. Would Reylo ever have stood a chance? Are Harry and Sally soulmates? Would Ripley and Hicks’ relationship have crashed and burned? We’re about to find out.
