Before we start, I was initially confused about who “she” was – then I realised that the instructor and pupil were both females. Knowing this makes it easier to understand what was happening.
OK, we have at least five things going wrong here.
1. On the first landing, the instructor found that the pupil couldn’t maintain direction in the air, using coordinated aileron and rudder. The pupil also had problems with directional control on the ground. The instructor should have called off landing practice
