Apple crisps

These are a super simple, super healthy snack that kids will love. Great for snacking, serving alongside cheese or popping into a lunchbox.

1. Remove the stalk from an2 mm or less. A mandolin makes this job much easier, but a steady hand and sharp knife will get you there. You end up with about 20 or so slices. 2. Lay them on an oven sheet lined with baking paper and sprinkle with a little cinnamon.3. Pop into a 90?C oven for 60–90 minutes, or until they look dry and begin to crinkle a little around the edges. If you need more than one tray, swap them around in the oven halfway through so they cook evenly.4. To test if they’re ready, take one out of the oven, let it cool for a minute or two. If it’s not crispy, give them another 15 minutes.5. Leave the crisps to cool on the tray. Once baked and cooled, store them in a well-sealed container or they will lose their crunch.
