A swinging lady

Ingeborg “Inge” Stoll was born on February 11th, 1930 in Breinig, a village close to Aachen, Germany, near the borders of Belgium and Netherlands. Her grandfather had moved to Berlin with his family in pursuit of a better income and her father Kurt was born there in 1906. Her family soon moved back to Aachen, where her father met and married Maria Moll. Kurt bought his first motorcycle in 1925 and started racing in 1934. Through the years he raced on Harley-Davidson, Horex, NSU and JAP in the 600 cc, 1000 cc or 1200 cc classes. His sidecar passenger was Leo Schell in the early years, before his wife Maria took over in the sidecar. In 1951 Kurt gave up racing as his driving school occupied most of his time. Kurt died in 1988. Two years before his 80th birthday he donated 10.000 Deutsch Marks to each of the 15 clubs in Breinig. There was no one else left who would inherit his fortune.
