    Mattress cover

    Pretty embroidered fabric adds charm to this mattress cover and turns it into something really special.

    DIFFICULTY: moderate

    TIME: four hours

    YOU WILL NEED

    ♥ two 201 x 15cm pieces of linen fabric

    ♥ one 201 x 126cm piece of embroidered fabric

    ♥ one 191 x 140cm piece of linen fabric

    ♥ matching upholstery thread

    ♥ 137cm heavy duty zip

    ♥ 188 x 137 x 5cm high density foam

    NOTE All seam allowances are 1,5cm.

    TO MAKE

    1 To make the top panel of the cover, pin and sew the two 15cm-wide strips of linen to either side of the piece of embroidered fabric. Press and overlock the two seams.

    2 Cut out a 5 x 5cm square piece of fabric at each of the four corners of the top panel. Overlock the edges of each of the right angles where the square pieces were removed. Fold one of the corners over diagonally, right sides together, so that the overlocked edges meet. Sew the seam, stopping 1,5cm from the lower edge, to form a boxed corner. Sew the remaining three corners in the same manner.
