Retro granny swing top

A little bit of retro and a whole lot of cute, this top is the perfect addition to her outfit for a breezy spring day. Invest in some wonderful South African hand-dyed sock yarn to whip up this sweet crochet swing top.

SIZE

To fit a 12-24-month-old toddler

YOU WILL NEED

♥ main colour: 100g Hedgehog Fibres Sock Yarn in Bee’s Knees (or shop for amazing hand-dyed yarns from our lovely South African dyers!)

♥ small amounts of:

A: Karoo Moon - light pink sock yarn

B: Miss La Motte - yellow sock yarn

C: Quenti Alpaca - black DK

D: Karoo Moon - mustard merino lace

♥ 3,5mm crochet hook

♥ tapestry needle

ABBREVIATIONS

beg - begin(ning)

ch - chain

gr(s) - group(s)

htr - half treble

inc - increase (2 tr, ch 1, 2 tr)

rep - repeat

rnd - round

sl st - slip stitch

sp - space

st(s) - stitch(es)

tr - treble

TO CROCHET

The swing top is worked from top to bottom. The yoke is worked back and forth and the body and sleeves in the round. There is an opening at the back of the yoke for putting on or taking off more easily. Tie together with a sweet little bow at the back.

Using 3,5mm crochet hook and main colour, ch 78.
