SOME GAMES ARE better with a PC controller. As is apparently the case with Rage 2, certain games have garbage default key bindings. Others, like most third-person action games, aren’t cut out for a mouse and keyboard setup. And can you imagine playing Mortal Kombat 11 on a keyboard? We can, because we’ve tried. It sucks.
Likewise, you won’t persuade us that open world games such as Grand Theft Auto or Far Cry aren’t enhanced by switching to a controller after climbing into a vehicle. While you can clutter your gaming space with a plethora of peripherals designed to support a specific genre – fight sticks, flight sticks, or steering wheels – the controller is the great generalist of PC gaming. It’s an easy, often cheap solution for when you need some extra analog control.
