    Nick Harper of Harper Builders was busy working on a residential home when we caught up with him in Wakefield, about 20 minutes’ drive south of Nelson on the north coast of the South Island. The house project is an interesting story in itself, although that’s not what brought us on-site.

    Just across the way sits another of Harper’s recent builds; so recent in fact, he and his team are still making the finishing touches.

    The intricate roofline of the large 600 square metre green shed on farmer Will Prouting’s property will instantly give the game away for many. We’re in hop country here
