Spooning SOMEONE’S GOT TO DO IT

Ultra-studs are soooo 2017. The real heroes of trail running are those who battle it out at the back of the pack. These people epitomise the grit, spit and stick-to-it-iveness of the endurance athlete and deserve to be recognised as such.

There are a million different reasons why we love running and maybe a few reasons more why we decide to enter races. My personal preference is for the longer stuff. I figured out long ago I was no sprinter and I enjoy testing myself and pushing to find the limits of my endurance. I’m still no world beater *cough Aotearoa 24-hour champ cough* and there is usually daylight between myself and those phenoms that challenge for the win. The reality though is that there is maybe just a handful of folk that have the ability to win races
