Barrington Court, situated near Ilminster in Somerset, is a breathtaking Tudor manor house dating from the 1530s. Empty of furniture today, the house itself has a rather haunting quality which is at odds with the beautiful, richly-coloured gardens that now surround it.

The property was once owned by a succession of grand families, but eventually fell on hard times, becoming just a tenant farm in the 18th century before being damaged by fire in the early 19th.
