Resort with thought

A first glance at the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort: swaying coconut palms stretch up towards radiant blue skies, bright red and yellow hibiscus burst from flower beds and the ocean ripples out to distant hills on the other side of Vanua Levu, Fiji’s second-largest island. The sun beats down on guests who recline on loungers beside a central pool, as trays of brightly coloured cocktails sail in and out from the main bure. Serenity reigns.
