has always been a company 100% independently owned by my wife/co-publisher Wendy Redfern and myself. We don’t have a big corporate entity bankrolling us. We don’t run advertorials or sponsored content. We have kept our music journalism truly honest and written about the artists we are most passionate about. We have printed 62 issues in close to 16 years and kept a daily website going, with a smaller staff and lower budget than you’d probably imagine, is owned by publishing giant Condé Nast (who also publish and ). is owned by Eldridge Industries (who also own and ). is published by Red Flag Media, who also publish two other magazines. And the main British music magazines ( , ) are all owned by bigger corporations. Instead, we are fully independent and depend on our wonderful readers for support (just like your local public radio station needs help from its listeners).
