MY old chum Andy has developed something of a taste for Condrieu. And who can blame him? At its best, Condrieu, a glorious dry white wine from the Northern Rhône, is a marvel, the perfect expression of Viognier, that grape celebrated for its elusive notes of peach, apricot, lychee and honeysuckle. And at its worst, Condrieu is… well, crikey, I’ve never had a bad one.
